Tool for muti spans Beam anaylsis using the stiffness method

New feature for Version 2.6 (update on Dec 5, 2013)- For the devices with Android 4.4 KitKat you can now prepare the results & calculation sheets in PDF format.A-Beam is an easy to use application but provide you the calculation for Reactions, Shears, Bending Moments and Deflections of the beams. From the very simple beam to the most complex of multi-span beams with any combination of loads applied. The great part of A-Beam is you are not limited to the only predefined of the pattern of the beams with particular support and load condition, but in A-Beam you can create your own beam with any combination of span and load condition no matter how complex it is. And create a beam and input the support and load condition is easy due to the interaction of the user interface which will show you the beam diagram while editing the data.Best for structural civil Engineer, Architect or students in structural analysis.Key Features:•Beam design & analysis with any number of spans & loads combinations.•Saved and listed all the previous beams by showing each beams Free Body Diagram (F.B.D) on the main screen so user can select and access previous work easily.•Multi spans: no limit of number of spans of the beams (currently 3 types of support condition "Hinge, Fixed End and Free").•Load patterns: any combination of loads applied to each spans of the beam (currently 5 types of loads "Point, Uniform, Triangular-Right, Triangular-Left and Moment load" ).•Results: •Reaction at each support•Shear Force Diagram (S.F.D.)•Bending Moment Diagram (B.M.D.)•Deflection•Reading the result (shear, bending moment and deflection) all along the beam length by tap & move the tracing line along the beam.Build target for Android 9.

this app does not work on Android

Simple to use & easy to understanding. But will hang once using PDF view with beam more than 3 span. Kindly look into it. Thanks.

In ios there is a moment distribution table. On this version of a+beam in android doesn't have it.

Really, how can anyone rate this bad. Yes it can be improved, but every program out there can always be improved. It's just ungrateful to give this anything less than 5 stars. It's excellent. Compared to so much garbage out there, this app finally utilizes the power of these cpu hand held computer cell phones we have. My only hope is that it is never abandoned and is improved on often. Thank you very much developers. The best beam program by far

Emailed for support and was replied to the same day, thanks very much, a very handy app that will get much use

This app work great!

Will analyze simple beams and beams with multiple supports. Gives a nice shear-moment diagram output. Changing units is cumbersome as you have to change each one. It would be nice if there was a single button to hit which would change everything to in-lbs or ft-lbs or N-m. Also, the visualization of the beam is pretty worthless as it is so small you can't read anything. It would be nice if you could zoom in on the picture to see things. Also, the units of the pdf output are inconsistent with the units used during entry. But this program has good potential.

So good

I like the updates. New UI is nice and it runs smooth with Jelly Bean. A PDF print out feature would be nice. And also having the calculation button on the bottom of the page
